More about us

The Sales department is responsible for the lifecycle of a turbocharger, end-to-end. This includes: the acquisition of new business; the development of projects from customer contract (nomination) until start of series production; change management after start of production; all commercial and price related subjects during series production; management of the relationship with the customer. It consists of 25 people, organized in 3 customer accounts and a back office team. Each account is led by an Account Manager and consists of Business Developers, Project Leaders and Project Assistants.

The nomination of a project comes with certain boundary conditions. The boundaries include terms and conditions, development budget, sales price, margin, investments and a development timeline. The Sales department ensures that the turbocharger is suitable for series production within the agreed time frame and while achieving economical and commercial targets. To do this, each project has a multi-disciplined project team steered by the Project Leader Development. Besides the Project Leader Development, the project team consists of a Project Engineer (responsible for technical development), a Production Engineering Project Leader (responsible for production process development) and a Project Quality Engineer (responsible for project quality). Supply-chain development is the direct responsibility of the Project Leader Development, in close collaboration with the commodity teams of the Purchase Department.

Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine Europe (MTEE) is a global player in the field of turbochargers for the automotive industry. Did you know that we have a 20% market share in Europe? That means that 1 out of 5 cars in Europe are fitted with a turbo that was made in Almere. And some of the turbochargers produced in Asia are, actually, designed, tested and developed in Almere as well. For automotive to be able to contribute to global climate objectives, downsizing (a smaller engine with greater power, possibly hybrid) is necessary. Using a turbocharger is the best way to make this technically possible.

As our parent company is located in Japan, we work in close collaboration with a culture known for its hospitality. And this shows in everything. From our production line in Almere, we deliver directly to our OEMs all over the world. All of our 600 employees make this possible. Proud and dedicated, that’s what we are.
